$12,500
A very rare model of the iconic Italian Fiat 500 - the Autobianchi Bianchina Giardiniera. This station wagon model was the last version of the Fiat 500 to be made with suicide doors.
In the 60's and 70's Fiat and Autobianchi were as synonymous as Dodge and Chrysler. This car was originally registered as an Autobianchi, but has the Fiat and Autobianchi plate stamped on the body. Autobianchi later went on to become Lancia, which is still made in Italy today. The Lancia logo - five vertical stripes - can be seen on the hubcaps.
I lived in Sicily for three years and purchased this car from an Italian before moving back to the States. I have the overseas registration and import paperwork.
The vehicle is located in Palmdale, CA, about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles at the top of the pass on Hwy 14. Call me at (301) 247-4808 and we'll set up a time for you to take it for a drive.
Be sure to scroll down below the photos for a list of recent work and newly replaced parts. Also, see my short test drive on youtube by clicking here.
Many more photos are available here.
Thanks,
Bud Turner
Prior to leaving Sicily I had the motor rebuilt by an Italian mechanic. New parts include pistons, cyclinders, rocker arms, timing chain, valves, and other internal parts. The handbrake cable and brake pads were also replaced in Sicily.
Upon delivery in the States, the start motor had frozen so it was replaced. Over the last few years I've also replaced the fuel pump, master brake cyclinder, battery and ignition parts (distributor cap, rotor, points, condesor, plugh wires, and plugs.)
I took advantage of the availability of vintage parts in Italy and replaced the following:
Head lights and chrom brows
Rag top (cappotta)
Rear door rubber seal
Front windshield seal
Side door panels
Driver and passenger door windows, vents, trim, seals, and thumb locks.
Shifter knob and shift stick rubber floor boot
Gas, clutch, and brake pedal pads
Windshield washer system (water reservoir, pump, tubing, and spray nozzles)
I'll include a box of old parts and some memorabilia (poster, sign, keychain)
