About Me!

I have been a professional birth doula for over six years and I have two boys, ages 8 and 10.  My husband and I have been married since 1994 and we are a military family.

We hired a doula for the birth of our second son in July 1998.  We decided to have an ummedicated birth.  Our son was born one month early at Naval Hospital Balboa.  Having a doula and a midwife made the birth a wonderful experience we'll never forget. It was in May, 2001,  when a friend invited me to be with her and her husband at the birth of their first daughter that I considered becoming a doula.

I was enlisted in the United States Navy for six years as an Air Traffic Controller.   I specialize in assisting military families.  I understand the unique circumstances surrounding military families including deployment of spouses and being away from family and friends. The majority of my birth experiences have been at Navy hospitals, however, I do not limit my services to military treatment facilities.
